We understand how important it is to work together with those living and working across the region in which HyNet is located.
We are always here to listen and answer questions. You can contact us via this website, or on social media.
We run consultations with local communities and interested parties on the various elements of the project.
You can find out more about each of the various elements of HyNet, and the recent public consultations we have held on them, by clicking on the boxes below.
Consultations
Carbon dioxide (CO2) pipeline
The CO2 pipeline will transport emissions captured from industry to secured storage sites under Liverpool Bay. We held a series of public consultations which have now closed. Our application for development consent is now with the Planning Inspectorate. You can use this link to find out more details about our application.
Hydrogen pipeline
This will transport low carbon hydrogen, produced at Stanlow, to industry and homes across the region. We recently held a public consultation on this element of HyNet which has now closed, but you can still use this link to find out more details about our proposals.
Hydrogen Production Plant
We have submitted a planning application to Cheshire West and Chester for a hydrogen production plant located at the Stanlow Manufacturing Complex.
Hanson Cement carbon capture and storage plant
The plant will capture 800,000 tonnes of CO2 a year from Hanson’s cement plant at Padeswood, Flintshire. Hanson will be engaging with local people to understand their views and enable them to have their say as they progress through an application for planning permission.
