HyNet’s skills outreach showcased in new national report

The Carbon Capture and Storage Association’s CCUS Skills Report highlights current and emerging workforce needs, skills availability, and real progress being made on CCUS skills development.

A key takeaway is that many skills required for the energy transition are highly transferable from existing industries. The challenge is scaling those skills and coordinating them with deployment timelines as projects move into construction and operation.

HyNet feature as a cluster case study, showcasing careers campaigning , schools workshops and careers guides. HyNet produced a series of videos featuring young employees working at sites at the front of carbon capture deployment, aiming to attract the next generation to the sector.
