This week, HyNet welcomed representatives from the Environment Agency, Natural England, and Natural Resources Wales for a site visit. As key regulatory bodies, their role in permitting, timing, and coordination is essential to the successful delivery of HyNet’s low-carbon projects.
Led by Chris Taylor, Head of Planning and Consents, the visit included stops at Heidelberg Materials and EET, showcasing the innovative technologies and infrastructure driving decarbonisation.
Bringing all three regulators together underscored the importance of collaboration and clear communication in delivering a net-zero future. HyNet remains committed to working closely with stakeholders to accelerate the UK’s transition to low-carbon energy.
